Project #12

  1. Hey Ashley!
I loved your book trailer. You did a really good job with the transitions and transparency of the words. The music really made it professional in a since. I'm sold on buying the book now. Did you use a Mac or Windows? And what software. I use my Windows software often so I am trying to get use to using a Mac. I enjoyed watching your trailer. Were you able to contact your author?
Keep up the good work. Now you can incorporate this into lessons for your future classes.

  2. Thank you very much Dominique! I enjoyed working on this project because I was able to allow my kids to help me. I cannot say that I am the biggest Mac fan, although I can hold my own when operating one, so this was done through Windows Live Movie Maker. I was able to email the author of the book and the location I found the address was a site designed for teachers who desire extra materials to incorporate these books in lesson plans, so I am hopeful that I will get a response!

  3. Hey Ashley! I hope you get a response too! That would be awesome. Keep me posted on that! For project #11 I used Windows Live Movie Maker and I love it. It is a little like a Mac but I do not own a Mac so I use my Windows often lol. However, I never explored WLMM much until these projects for our class required the use of it and I have come to really enjoy playing around with it. I was thinking for some of my classes when I am teaching I will make videos to use as sources for my students. I feel I will be able to keep their attention some what using this and making it fun for them. I will even maybe provide a quick lesson using it or iMovie.
Also I think it is great that your kids were involved. I have two daughters and that is a good idea to involve the kids on something like this. They are 4 and 2 years old. How old are your children?
